How to Use Word Wagon

Using Dictionaries

  1. Create an account and log in
    • Click [Create Account], register with your email, then log in to access your personal dictionaries.
  2. Open the dictionaries section
    • From the main navigation, choose [Dictionaries] to see your list of existing dictionaries or to create a new one.
  3. Create a new dictionary
    • Click the button to add a new dictionary, then enter a name (for example 'Travel Spanish' or 'JLPT N5 Verbs').
    • Select the source and target language if this option is available in your account.
  4. Choose a visual style
    • Pick one of the visual styles (e.g., Studio Ghibli, anime, pixel art, watercolor, cyberpunk, etc.).
    • Confirm the style so all new images for this dictionary follow the same aesthetic.
  5. Add words and expressions
    • Open the dictionary you created and use the [Add word] or similar action.
    • Enter the word or phrase, translation, and any extra info; wait for the AI to generate an image in your chosen style.
  6. Manage and edit entries
    • In the dictionary view, click on a word to edit its text, translation, or image prompt if available.
    • Use search or filters in the dictionary page to quickly find specific entries.

Using the Organizer

  1. Group words by topic or project
    • Create separate dictionaries for different themes (e.g., 'Food', 'Business', 'Travel', 'Grammar patterns') instead of mixing everything in one.
    • Name dictionaries clearly so you can recognize them in the main list.
  2. Reorder or prioritize dictionaries
    • In the dictionaries page, use any available sorting options (such as by name, language, or progress) to keep your most important dictionaries at the top.
  3. Use search and filters
    • Use the search bar at the top ([Search dictionaries and words…]) to locate a dictionary or a word directly from the main view.
    • Filter by language or tag if those options appear in your interface.
  4. Archive or remove unused dictionaries
    • For old or finished topics, use the provided actions (e.g., [Delete], [Archive], or [Hide]) to keep the organizer clean and focused on active material.

Running Learning Sessions

  1. Go to the Learning section
    • Click [Learning] in the main navigation to open the learning dashboard and session controls.
  2. Select what to study
    • Choose one dictionary or several dictionaries you want to include in the current session.
    • Optionally filter by status (e.g., new words, in progress, or review) if your interface supports that.
  3. Start a session
    • Click the button to start a learning session (e.g., flashcards or review mode).
    • Each card typically shows the AI-generated image, the word, and controls to reveal translation, audio, or example sentence.
  4. Use audio and examples
    • Tap the audio icon to hear native-like pronunciation for the word.
    • Read the example usage if available to see how the word works in context.
  5. Mark how well you know the word
    • After each card, choose the response that matches your memory (e.g., [I knew it], [So-so], [I forgot]).
    • The system uses these ratings to decide how often and when to show the word again.
  6. Finish and review
    • When the session ends, check the small summary of how many cards you reviewed and how many you remembered correctly.
    • If needed, immediately start another short session on the same dictionary for reinforcement.

Viewing Statistics

  1. Open your progress area
    • On the top bar you will see a quick indicator such as [0 mastered / 0 words]; click or navigate to your profile/progress page for detailed stats.
  2. Check global stats
    • View total number of words added across all dictionaries and how many are marked as mastered, in progress, or new.
    • Look at daily or weekly activity indicators if shown (e.g., how many words studied today).
  3. Check per-dictionary stats
    • Open a specific dictionary to see how many words it contains and how many of them are mastered.
    • Use this to decide which dictionary needs more review during upcoming sessions.
  4. Use stats to plan learning
    • If you see that mastered words are low in a key dictionary, schedule more learning sessions focused on that set.
    • When a dictionary is mostly mastered, shift your effort to new topics while occasionally reviewing the old one to maintain memory.
